| Comments: | The 10th Annual WWW at Beth Torah was held in the main sanctuary, with a large screen as backdrop, where the images of temples in Toronto, Montevideo (Uruguay) and Atlanta simultaneously joining in the Wrap were projected. Last year we used a Skype connection with NCI congregation in Montevideo which allowed us a one-on-one connectivity, and services were held together. This year was the first time we used the Web Conference system, coordinated by Beth David in Toronto, and by next year we’ll have better ability to take advantage of it so that all services are able to interact. Some members of the Toronto shul, who are spending the winter in Miami and daven at our services, were able to say hello to their friends up north. Wrappers started arriving at 8am, services started at 8:30 and were followed by Dvar Torah from Rabbi Farber and Rabbi Rojzman, as well as Ed Margolis, President of the Florida Region. A Bagel Breakfast was enjoyed by the participants after services, which was followed by a presentation by Bobbie Higer, chair of the Israel-Miami partnership Committee of the Miami Federation, who reviewed the status of the different projects in which the Miami Federation is participating with its sister cities of Yeroucham and Or Akiba. |
