| We had 75 Wrappers at our Wrap! |

| Comments: | This was a first for Ner Tamid, and will definitely not be a last! Our entire congregation was involved - men, women, and children. Under the direction of our religious school director, Naomi Gabai-Fisher, our older students constructed a set of Tefillin out of cardboard boxes and construction paper, prepared a "rap" for the congregation, and wrote out the Shema in beautiful Torah calligraphy.
Our spiritual leader, Rav Nadav Caine, gave a brief discourse on the history and relevance of tefilln followed by an abbreviated service. A lovely breakfast followed, prepared by Ner Tamid's kitchen volunteers.
A press release sent out 3 weeks ago spared the interest of a local reporter from the San Diego Union Tribune. After several conversations with me, the reported chose Ner Tamid out of three participating congregations in San Diego. it was very exciting having a reporter and photographer with us throughout the entire event.
It was a day to remember, and we are looking forward to Wrapping in 2011.
