Video Wrap information CHANGES MADE
This is a bit of an experiment for us, and we're going to be using software called Adobe Connect Pro to do the Wrap.
You do not need to download any software to join us, it is all handled through a web link.
You will need:
- A reasonably fast internet connection - any high speed line will do.
- A computer that has a camera attached. Can be Mac or Windows (any flavour)
- A little patience and the ability to follow the instructions here. We suggest that you print them as there will be NO TELEPHONE SUPPORT ON SUNDAY MORNING
The process:
-
To join the meeting, use the following URL AFTER 8:00 am EST Sunday, February 7, 2010:
http://connectpro13074103.na5.acrobat.com/www10/ (NOTE THE CHANGE FROM ADOBE)
----------------
If you have never attended a Connect Pro meeting before:
Test your connection: http://connectpro98374811.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
Get a quick overview: http://www.adobe.com/go/connectpro_overview
- We strongly recommend that you use the "test your connection" link before you try and join us. Here's the URL again: http://connectpro98374811.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
- We strongly recommend that you use the "test your connection" link before you try and join us. Here's the URL again: http://connectpro98374811.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm (don't need to repeat it again do we?)
- It's Sunday morning, now log into the site: http://connectpro13074103.na5.acrobat.com/www10/ (NOTE THE CHANGE)
- Remember, NO TELEPHONE SUPPORT ON SUNDAY MORNING, so check the connection first at http://connectpro98374811.acrobat.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
- The first screen you see will ask what type of connection you wish to make. Select "GUEST" and type your synagogue/city/country in as your name. We want to see "Beth Tzuris Men's Club, Omaha, USA" rather than "Bill Shwartz".
- Your computer will log into the site and you will see a grey screen with a number of "pods" on it for the Wrap.
- At the top of the screen, under the menu item "Meeting" select "Manage My Settings". Go to "Select Camera"
- After a short wait, a small window will appear in the center of your screen. Another short wait and your camera will appear in the title bar. You may need to use the "pull down" to find the proper camera connection. Click on the image of a webcam.
- Your camera will begin to work and you will see a small image of yourself in that small window.

Click "Close" in the bottom right corner.
- At this point, you will need to wait until the administrator of the connection turns your camera on. This might take a few minutes, BE PATIENT. If you restart your connection, you'll go to the end of the line, so please wait.
- Once you are online, you will see your camera's image in the "pod" in the top right corner of the screen. You must click on the camera (circled) and then your picture will join the rest in the Video World Wide Wrap
- When you're done, all you need to do is close the browser window. That's a Wrap!
